About

An institutional partner for Asia’s digital finance builders.

Founded in 2021 and based in Hong Kong, Meridian Capital invests growth and late-stage capital in financial technology companies that expand access, efficiency, and trust across Asian markets.

In roughly five years we have built a portfolio of more than one hundred companies— spanning payments, digital banking, insurtech, wealth technology, and financial infrastructure. We underwrite regulatory resilience, unit economics, and the ability to operate across borders.

Hong Kong is our operating centre, with coverage across Greater China and Southeast Asia through Singapore and Shanghai.

What we look for

Defensible technology, clear regulatory posture, and teams that can compound through cycles.

How we partner

Board-level engagement, Asia network access, and patient follow-on capital for category winners.

Approach

Four pillars of our thesis.

We concentrate on platforms that modernise how money moves, is held, protected, and regulated across Asia.

01

Fintech infrastructure

Issuance, clearing, risk, identity, and embedded finance that power banks, platforms, and enterprises.

02

Digital finance & wealth

Neobanks, consumer and SME credit, wealthtech, and insurance distribution for mobile-first markets.

03

Cross-border payments

Treasury, FX, remittance, and B2B settlement connecting Greater China, ASEAN, and global corridors.

04

Regulated innovation

Companies that treat licensing, compliance, and trust as competitive advantages—not afterthoughts.

Portfolio

Selected companies.

Asia-focused fintech platforms across Greater China, India, Korea, and Southeast Asia. Representative only—not exhaustive.
